In this article we are going to deal with military tattoos, tattoos worn by those belonging to the armies in charge of defending their countries. These types of tattoos originated in the eighteenth century thanks to French soldiers, but were later banned due to various medical studies dealing with the medical complications of tattoos. Luckily, tattoos are currently safer than they have ever been, and that is why today countless members of armies proudly wear their tattoos. Take a step forward and see our striking gallery of images of tattoos with military designs, we hope you like it!
Unlike the past, where it was limited to the parts of the body that covered long-sleeved shirts and pants, today the army allows tattoos in many areas of the body, even the most visible, such as the back of the hand or the neck, yes, there are some restrictions and requirements, such as that they are not extremists, neither racist nor indecent, as is logical, it has to be regulated.
Military tattoos, in general, show the love of a certain person for the country he serves, in addition to the pride for the unit to which he belongs, since, as is known, there have always been pikes and competition between the different units of the army about which one is better, stronger or with brighter minds. So, this type of tattoos can also champion a certain unity.
Military tattoo designs represent and, with the passage of time in life, commemorate a period of life full of meaning and memorable. You could even say that this type of tattoo glorifies everything military, and that statement would probably be true. Obviously, people willing to acquire these types of tattoos are people who feel happy and proud to be part of the armies. Other quite common designs are, for example, that which is formed by two rifles forming an X, or that of medals to honor, or that of unit emblems, or those that are composed of oaths of loyalty, honor and sacrifice.
A very special type of design in military tattoos is that of memorials. These can show dates between which a service lasted, for example, or they can honor a fallen companion in act of service, being enough simply with a name engraved with a cross or a heart to remember the loved one who passed into a better life .
Although in the past this type of tattoos was carried almost exclusively by men, at present, with gender equality and the incorporation of women into the armed forces, military tattoos are often worn by representatives of both genders in various parts of the body.
Whether you belong to the army or if you are simply curious about the world of tattoos, we hope that this gallery has interested you and served as an inspiration. We also remind you that a tattoo is for life, so you should not skimp on precautions, so it is advisable that you always put yourself in the hands of expert tattoo artists that guarantee you optimal results.
It is this first image we can see a motive of a soldier holding several identification plates. We are not sure but they may be of your friends who have died in the war. I'm not sure but it might be that he is a soldier of the Vietnam War with several American badges.
In this second photograph, we can see four soldiers dressed in their uniforms and with weapons that mourn the death of a comrade who died in combat. We should ever end wars.
Design of what looks like a military or a policeman shooting with a dark and gray background. We cannot succeed to see what character it is and what it does exactly because the photograph has been taken from a point of view that does not allow us to contemplate the design from a good perspective.
Great design of a military man making the greeting with a perfect perspective, since we can see just above him in the background without taking away from the main character the flag of the United States. The transition of the character and the bottom in which some partners appear helping each other is very natural and hence the overall result of the design is so good.
Design of a shield composed of two anchors and their ropes and with a crown on top of it. I think that in this type of design some color could have been added so that the result was much more powerful, although the shading is correct.
Design of two fish that are next to what looks like a submarine. We do not know for sure if it is a submarine because the perspective used is not correct and the sizes of animals and element have not been respected, so it is difficult to proceed to comment on this tattoo.
Skull with a hat and swords as a background with a somewhat poor shading. The design is somewhat dark and although there is an element that has been used correctly, which is to leave a blank space between the skull and the background shading, the result is not as expected.
Creative tattoo in which you can see the US flag represented by blue and stars and red as if it were the person's own muscle; as a metaphor of leaving the skin. You can also see an eagle and an anchor with the ball of the world, an element that in my opinion remains, since the original idea of the flag was more than enough.
Skull with a hat and crossed knives as a background at the bottom of the design. The skull seems to have a gesture of anger and dieference of other designs, this presents teeth and seems to have a life of its own.
Design of a skull with a cap in blue tones. The bone is in a somewhat dark color and I think it would have been represented in a lighter, whiter shade, it would have been won in contrast to the blue background and therefore a better final result could have been obtained.
Eagle represented on the ball of the world as a ruler, as if he were ruling over any person. The blurring and saturation of the black color are beunos, but the shape of the animal's wings could have been improved.
Typical metal pendant worn by some soldiers, so it is a way of referring to the illite world more discreetly than tattooing a soldier or a flag. A very beautiful and original result, since within this category we are more accustomed to seeing other types of designs.
|Most popular body areas||All areas are common in this case although the back, arms, chest and shoulders are more popular than the others.|
|Most used colors and inks||The muted colors such as black and gray are the most used in this case although sometimes they include flags such as the USA that has bright colors such as red and blue.|
|More frequent in men or women?||This is a more masculine motive since men are lovers of everything related to war, soldiers and weapons.|
|What is their size? Are they usually large, small or medium?||They usually have a medium size although we often see some large design as the second image of this article.|
What does a girl think about these designs?
The theme of military designs is not the one that attracts me the most. I do not like weapons or I like violence and it is something we should all have as a basis. I don't even like a tattoo no matter how much it is a drawing I like to see people shooting at someone or guns. I can come to understand in some sense the patriotic meaning of the military concept in countries like the United States, but beyond this feeling of serving the country I do not understand the pleasure of making violent tattoos.
